Obverse description Black intaglio printing on lilac and yellow underprint, with an allegorical seated female figure as a vignette at left and a vignette of the ruins of Humaita at right. An oval overprint reading "Emisión del Estado" appears at center, alongside the denomination and legal authority text. The overall layout is characteristic of American Bank Note Company engraving conventions of the early twentieth century.
