| Obverse description | Printed in blue, the obverse carries an intaglio portrait of General José de San Martín in military uniform within an ornate guilloche frame at the right. The denomination numeral 500 appears in large figures at the lower centre, flanked by the legend "LEYES N° 12.962 Y 13.571" and "MONEDA NACIONAL", while an oval watermark window occupies the left field. Two facsimile signatures appear at the lower margin, identifying the Gerente General and the Presidente of the Banco Central. |
