The upper portion carries the bank's full title in elaborate script — "Banco Nacional de las Provincias Unidas del Río de la Plata" — flanking a central arms vignette, with the denomination "500 PESOS" at upper left and right in bold letterpress. 备注	The Banco Nacional de las Provincias Unidas del Río de la Plata had a turbulent institutional life — founded in 1826, it was liquidated in 1836 under pressure from the Rosas government, which was ideologically hostile to centralized banking. Notes issued under the PS#376 series therefore postdate the bank's formal dissolution, meaning this 500 Pesos circulated under a successor liquidation authority still clearing old obligations, not under an actively functioning bank.
