| 背面描述 | A full-bodied depiction of a Tarbosaurus bataar stands upright in the center of the field, rendered in detailed relief with rocky cliff formations suggested in the background. To the upper left, the legend ANIMALES PREHISTORICOS arcs in Latin script, with the binomial species name Tarbosaurus bataar inscribed diagonally below it. An Arabic inscription appears along the right periphery. The date 1993 is placed in the lower exergue. |

Western Sahara has no functioning government mint and no internationally recognized sovereign authority — the territory has been administered by Morocco since 1976 following Spain's withdrawal, with the Polisario Front claiming a government-in-exile from Tindouf, Algeria. Coins attributed to "Western Sahara" from this period were produced entirely for the collector market, almost certainly struck by a European private mint with no connection to any circulating currency system.
The choice of Tarbosaurus bataar — a large tyrannosaur whose fossils come exclusively from Mongolia and China — has no geographic or historical relevance to the Sahara whatsoever.
