Comments

Pick 59 is a heavily reproduced type — the FNMT printed authorized facsimiles for archival and display purposes well into the twentieth century, and these replicas circulate freely in the collector market, often mislabeled. The word "FACSÍMIL" or "MUESTRA" is typically stamped or printed in the paper, though on worn examples this can be easy to overlook.

The genuine 1907 issue was part of Spain's post-Restoration banking normalization, predating the peseta's serious inflationary pressures by over a decade. Replicas carry no monetary or legal standing.
