Obverse description The coat of arms of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) occupies the stainless steel centre, depicting a crescent and star above two crossed rifle and spear motifs, flanked by olive branches, with an Arabic-inscribed ribbon scroll at the base. The brass outer ring carries the circular legend 'REPUBLICA ARABE SAHARAUI DEMOCRATICA' in raised Latin letters, with an Arabic legend appearing on the scroll in the field. The design is rendered in a bold, high-relief style with clearly delineated heraldic elements. A small five-pointed star serves as a separator in the lower portion of the legend on the ring.
