Aanvullende informatie

The Macau Grand Prix, first run in 1954 through the streets of the peninsula, became one of Asia's premier motorsport events and a point of genuine civic pride for the territory. By 1988, still under Portuguese administration with the handover to China a decade away, the Monetary Institute used the 35th anniversary as an occasion for one of the largest silver issues in Macanese numismatic history.

At 155.5 grams of fine silver struck to five-ounce specification, this is not a coin that passed through any pocket.
