| Opmerkingen |
Bhutan's first polymer note in the 500 Ngultrum denomination, issued in 2025. De La Rue's polymer substrate — distinct from the Guardian platform used by some other issuers — incorporates a transparent window as a native structural feature rather than an applied element, which changes how the security architecture is built into the note from the outset. The Royal Monetary Authority has issued polymer denominations before, but each new addition to the series reflects incremental upgrades in the security specification agreed with TDLR at the time of contract.
