Reverse description Central geometric motif consisting of an elaborate interlocking cross-hatched diamond pattern enclosed within a stylised four-lobed floral frame, representative of traditional Chinese decorative art, all set against a deeply mirrored proof field. An inner circle borders the central device, with a finely beaded outer rim encircling the entire design. The denomination NT$500 is inscribed in large numerals at the lower centre, flanked on the left by the Chinese legend 成色9999 (fineness 9999) and on the right by 含金1/2英兩 (containing one-half troy ounce of gold).
