Hasbro licensed the Simpsons brand for a themed Monopoly edition released in the early 2000s, replacing Atlantic City properties with Springfield locations and swapping the standard Monopoly currency art for Simpsons-branded notes. Matt Groening receives the designer credit by virtue of owning the underlying character artwork, not because he had any direct involvement in the banknote layout itself.
Not legal tender in any jurisdiction, and not seriously collected as notaphily — this sits firmly in the exonumia category, of interest mainly to Simpsons memorabilia collectors rather than currency specialists.
