正面描述 Brown and blue-green Notgeld note with a central vignette of a seated female figure, possibly an allegorical representation of industry or agriculture, set against a light guilloche underprint bearing the numeral 500. The denomination 'Fünfhundert Mark' is printed in large Gothic blackletter script across the centre, above which appears the heading 'Gutschein über' in a decorative panel framed by intricate scrollwork borders. The lower portion carries a multi-line text block with three dated authorization signatures from Köln-Mülheim, Wipperfürth, and Bergisch-Gladbach, all dated 21–22 October 1922, with sheet letter and series identifiers 'H' and 'B' at lower left and right respectively.

备注

German Notgeld at the 500 Mark level reflects the acute inflationary pressure of mid-1922, when municipal and district authorities were printing emergency scrip simply to keep wages moving. The joint issuance by two administrative districts — Köln-Mülheim and Wipperfürth, with Bergisch-Gladbach named — is itself a marker of bureaucratic improvisation under economic stress; such cooperative regional issues were administratively awkward and relatively short-lived.

Heiss & Co. in Köln-Lindenthal handled considerable Notgeld work during this period. By the time hyperinflation peaked in 1923, notes like this had been rendered worthless in a matter of weeks.
