正面描述	Ochre and dark green Notgeld issued on plain paper with a bold scalloped guilloche border. A large ornate blackletter initial 'F' vignette occupies the left field, while the heading 'STADT TRIER 1922' and denomination 'Fünfhundert Mark' appear in large letterpress type to the right. The lower portion carries a block of text stating the conditions of acceptance by municipal cashiers, a serial number in the upper left, the issue date 'TRIER, 12. Oktober 1922', and a facsimile signature of the Oberbürgermeister accompanied by a red municipal seal impression.

A bold letterpress heading 'STADT TRIER' spans the upper field, flanked on either side by the numeral '500' in large outlined type. The central vignette presents a detailed architectural view of the Porta Nigra, the celebrated Roman city gate of Trier, rendered in a dark green line-engraved style. The printer's imprint 'J. P. BACHEM, KÖLN' appears at the lower left margin.
