| Reverse description | The reverse carries a large dark blue-grey central vignette showing an industrial Ruhr landscape with factory chimneys and mining headframes rendered in silhouette, overlaid by the large white numeral '500' at centre. Three circular medallions are set across the upper portion of the vignette: at left, the eagle arms of Dortmund; at centre, the seal of Westphalia bearing a shield with the legend 'CIVITATIS WESTPHALIAE SIGILVM TREMONIS'; and at right, a fortified tower representing Hörde. Decorative arabesque ornaments flank the composition on both sides, and a two-line authorisation text above the vignette cites the Reichsminister der Finanzen and the Reichsgesetz of 17 July 1922, while a single italic line below reads 'Dieser Schein wird ungültig einen Monat nach öffentlichem Aufruf.' |
