| Reverse description | The reverse features a high-relief bust of the Turkmen poet and composer Annagylyc Mataji (1824–1882), facing three-quarters to the right and wearing a traditional fur papakha hat. To the upper left, the name ANNAGYLYÇ-MÄTÄJI is inscribed in two arched lines in Latin script; the birth and death years 1824 and 1882 appear vertically to the left of the portrait, accompanied by a sprig with a scroll. The denomination 500 MANAT is indicated in two lines to the right of the portrait. The entire design is enclosed within an ornamental beaded border characteristic of Turkmen decorative art. |
