| Opmerkingen |
Zone B of the Free Territory of Trieste was administered by Yugoslavia, and this note reflects that reality despite its Italian-language denomination. The issuing bank was a Yugoslav institution projecting administrative control over a contested strip of the Adriatic coast — the name itself staking a territorial claim across three regions whose political fate wouldn't be formally settled until the 1954 London Memorandum.
Printed in Zagreb by the Croatian State Printing Office in 1945, the note predates the formal proclamation of the Free Territory itself, which wasn't established until 1947 under the Paris Peace Treaties. That timing makes it an instrument of provisional occupation rather than recognized governance.
