Descrizione del dritto	The Bulgarian state coat of arms is centrally placed within a circular guilloche vignette, flanked on both sides by large denomination numerals '500' set against elaborate floral rosette underprints in blue and multicolour. A dense geometric border with folk-art motifs frames the entire note, and the lower portion carries two manuscript signatures above the date and place of issue, with a repeating text underprint of the bank name running across the lower field.

Descrizione del rovescio	A panoramic intaglio vignette of the port of Varna occupies the central panel, rendered in deep blue with ships, cranes, and cargo bales along the quayside, set within an arched guilloche frame. Large '500' numerals in ornate rosettes anchor the left and right margins, surrounded by intricate geometric and folk-pattern borders consistent with the obverse design. The bank name in French appears at the top, with the denomination in Cyrillic and an anti-forgery legal notice running along the lower margin.
