Reverse description The large crowned coat of arms of the Kingdom of Romania occupies the central field, supported on either side by two rampant lions holding the shield, with draped mantling surmounted by a royal crown above. The quartered shield bears the traditional heraldic emblems of the Romanian provinces. The date 19 45 is divided to the left and right of the coat of arms at mid-field, while the denomination 500 LEI arcs along the lower periphery. The legend ROMANIA appears along the upper arc and the motto NIHIL SINE DEO is inscribed, all within a beaded border.
