Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra (imperial calligraphic monogram) of Sultan Abdülmecid I, rendered in fine relief with characteristic loops and vertical strokes. The tughra is flanked on the right by a delicate floral spray. Below the tughra, the regnal year numeral appears in Arabic script, with the denomination numerals inscribed on a ribbon at the base. A wreath of olive branches, tied with a ribbon at the bottom, frames the central devices, while a ring of seven six-pointed stars encircles the upper portion of the design within a finely reeded border.
