Three different signature combinations appear across the P#58A series, reflecting successive management changes at the central bank between 2001 and 2004 — a useful dating tool for collectors working without stamped issue dates. The pairing of Eiríkur Guðnason with both Gunnarsson and Ingólfsson places him as the continuity figure across two transitions.
De La Rue printed the series in London, as they had done for Iceland through most of the postwar decades. The security package for this issue is notably modest — watermark only, with none of the metallic thread or color-shifting ink that had become routine on European currency of this period.
