| 正面描述 | The obverse is dominated by an all-over letterpress underprint composed of the repeated text 'STORENORSKESPITSBERGENKULKOMPANI' in green, filling the entire field. Superimposed in bold black letterpress are the series designation, serial number, issuing authority name, and the large denomination numeral '500 FEMHUNDRE KRONER 500' across the centre. Conditions of use and redemption obligations are printed in Norwegian below the denomination, with two manuscript signatures appearing at the lower portion of the note. |

| 备注 |
Store Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani — commonly known as Store Norske — operated a company scrip system at Longyearbyen, the Norwegian mining settlement on Svalbard, well into the late twentieth century. The settlement was essentially a closed economy: workers were company employees, housing was company-owned, and the local store was company-run. Scrip kept wages circulating within that system rather than bleeding out to the Norwegian mainland.
The 500 kroner denomination is the highest in the series and rarely turned up outside the settlement's single retail outlet. By the time this note was withdrawn, Store Norske had begun transitioning Longyearbyen toward a more normalized municipal structure — a process completed through the 1980s under Norwegian government pressure.
