Obverse description The obverse presents a central intaglio vignette portrait of a noble lady from Holstein, identified as Franziska Genoveva von Qualen, née d'Abbestée, after a painting by Jens Juel, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint. The denomination 500 and the issuer inscription DANMARKS NATIONALBANK are rendered in letterpress, with serial numbers positioned at left and right, and two authorising signatures below the central vignette. FEMHUNDREDE KRONER appears as the written denomination legend on the face of the note.
