At centre-left, a surveyor figure is depicted in the field alongside scientific instruments and a landscape with a hilltop castle town. To the left, a decorative cartouche bears the inscription MAPPA COMITATUS POSONIENSIS, evoking Mikovíni's famous map of Bratislava County. The upper field displays a partial period map with the legend DANUBIUS indicating the Danube River, while the denomination 500 Sk appears prominently at upper right alongside the Slovak national arms. The legend SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA and the date 2000 are inscribed along the lower rim. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse presents a three-quarter bust portrait of Samuel Mikovíni facing slightly left, rendered in high relief with period Baroque costume including a lace collar and ornate jacket. To the right of the portrait stands a detailed depiction of a surveying theodolite instrument, above which an orrery or armillary sphere symbolises Mikovíni's astronomical and geodetic achievements. The legend SAMUEL MIKOVÍNI is inscribed in two lines at upper right, with his life dates 1686-1750 beneath. The mint master's mark and the Kremnica Mint mark appear at lower right in the field. |
