背面描述	The central field depicts a dramatic landscape of the Pieniny National Park, featuring the characteristic limestone crags and rocky gorge of the Dunajec River canyon rendered in high relief. The composition is framed by an oval border, with stylised butterfly wing motifs emerging from the left and right sides of the frame into the surrounding field. The two-line legend PIENINSKÝ NÁRODNÝ PARK curves along the upper periphery in a matching stylised script, and the denomination 500 Sk appears in large numerals at the base of the design.

附加信息	Issued the same year Slovakia completed its formal application for EU membership, this coin commemorates the Pieniny, a narrow limestone gorge national park shared jointly with Poland — one of the few binational protected areas in Central Europe. The park had been partitioned by the Iron Curtain for decades, with coordinated cross-border conservation effectively impossible until after 1989. KM#39 was struck at the Kremnica Mint, which has operated continuously since 1328.
