| Opmerkingen |
Kulhánek designed several denominations for the post-1993 Czech koruna series, but his work on this note drew particular attention for its engraving-forward aesthetic — Václav Fajt's obverse work and Ondráček's reverse represent two of the stronger intaglio contributions in the entire series. Státní Tiskárna Cenin had produced Czech currency since before the Czechoslovak split, and the continuity of using a Prague-based printer for the new republic's notes was a deliberate political signal as much as a logistical one.
The 1993 currency separation from Slovakia required the Czech Republic to establish independent monetary infrastructure almost overnight. Early issued notes were carried over from Czechoslovak stock with adhesive stamps; this 1995-dated issue belongs to the first clean wave of purpose-designed Czech Republic currency.
