| Beschrijving keerzijde | Olive and red-brown on multicolor guilloche underprint. A large, elaborately engraved rosette guilloche medallion occupies the left half of the note, bearing the bold numeral 500 at its centre. The right field carries the bilingual issuer inscriptions in German and Czech in large serif letterpress, with a faint heraldic lion watermark visible in the centre-right area. Denomination numerals 500 appear in all four corners and along the borders. |

The Národní Banka pro Čechy a Moravu was a German-controlled institution operating under the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia — a occupation currency authority in all but name. This 500 Korun note was printed in Prague by the bank's own printing works, one of the few occupied territories to maintain an in-house banknote production facility rather than having currency produced in the Reich itself.
Jindřich Schmidt's engraving work on this series is among the finer Czech wartime output. The design draws from Petr Brandl, the early 18th-century Bohemian Baroque painter — a culturally assertive choice for a note issued under Nazi administration, though how much agency Czech designers exercised in that selection is not documented.
