Obverse description Dark brown intaglio print on multicolor guilloche underprint. An engraved portrait vignette of Baroque painter Peter Johann Brandl (1668–1735) occupies the right portion of the note, rendered after his own painting of circa 1695. The bilingual (German/Czech) text of the issuing authority and legal tender provisions runs across the face, with the denomination numeral 500 repeated in the corners.

Reverse description Olive and red-brown on multicolor guilloche underprint. A large, elaborately engraved rosette guilloche medallion occupies the left half of the note, bearing the bold numeral 500 at its centre. The right field carries the bilingual issuer inscriptions in German and Czech in large serif letterpress, with a faint heraldic lion watermark visible in the centre-right area. Denomination numerals 500 appear in all four corners and along the borders.
