| Obverse description | A detailed frontal view of Pha That Luang, the iconic gilded Buddhist stupa of Vientiane, occupies the central field, rendered with fine architectural detail including its tiered base, surrounding spires, and ceremonial gateway. The legend BANK OF THE LAO PDR curves along the upper periphery, flanked by a beaded inner border.
