A large central cartouche on an orange ground bears the legal tender text in Ukrainian, flanked on each side by ornate floral numeral 500 and the word ГРИВЕНЬ in bold letterpress. The serial number appears in red at left and right of the central cartouche, and the date 1918 is set at the foot of the design. |
