| 备注 |
The Wiener Commissions-Bank was not a central bank but a private commercial institution — its banknote-issuing activity was relatively brief, and high-denomination paper of this kind was primarily used for wholesale trade settlements rather than retail circulation. The 500 Gulden face value placed this note well beyond ordinary daily commerce in 1874 Austria, which largely explains why surviving examples are rare: notes of this denomination were presented for redemption quickly rather than held.
Herhold & Sohn were a Vienna-based printing firm whose output for private banks in the Habsburg period remains poorly documented compared to the State Printing House. No Pick number has been assigned.
