| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central scene depicting a group of figures in a folk art composition representative of Haitian artistic tradition, with a stylized palm tree in the upper centre serving as the focal element. Multiple human figures are arranged around the scene in varying poses, rendered in low relief with a naive, expressive style characteristic of Haitian naif art. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE D'HAITI arcs along the upper periphery, with L'ART HAITIEN inscribed along the lower periphery. The overall design reflects the distinctive aesthetic of mid-twentieth century Haitian folk painting translated into medallic relief. This piece is a uniface obverse trial strike produced by Italcambio, with the reverse left plain. |
