Cameroon has issued collector silver under its own authority since the early 2000s, but the coins themselves are invariably produced by European private mints — most commonly the Czech firm Česká mincovna or similar contractors — with Cameroon's nominal sovereignty providing the legal framework for an otherwise commercially driven numismatic product.
