Cameroon has issued collector silver under its own authority since the 1970s, but the modern program — producing themed religious and art series for the European collector market — is entirely a product of licensing arrangements with private minting houses, principally the Mint of Poland. The issuing country has no substantive connection to the subject matter; these coins are designed, struck, and distributed entirely outside Cameroon.
