| Beschrijving voorzijde | The national coat of arms of Cameroon is displayed centrally on a dotted field, depicting a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by two crossed fasces. A circular legend in Latin script surrounds the device, with the French and English denominations of the republic inscribed along the lower rim. The denomination 500 FRANCS CFA appears prominently in the lower field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Cameroon's late-2000s and early-2010s numismatic program was largely orchestrated through external minting arrangements — this piece almost certainly produced by a European private mint under license rather than struck domestically. The "Taurus" designation places it within a zodiac-themed collector series that flooded the market during this period, when small African nations with limited monetary infrastructure became convenient issuing authorities for foreign bullion and novelty coin programs targeting European collectors.
Legal tender in name only. Cameroon's actual circulating currency is the Central African CFA franc, issued by the Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale.
