| Описание реверса | The reverse features a full-color reproduction of Raphael's celebrated oil painting the Sistine Madonna (c. 1512), rendered in vibrant polychrome enamel and set within a rectangular panel framed by ornate gold-toned borders. The Virgin Mary is depicted standing on clouds, cradling the Christ Child, flanked by Pope Sixtus II to the left and Saint Barbara to the right. In the lower foreground, two iconic winged cherubs gaze upward. Flanking the central painted panel on both sides are finely detailed silver relief foliate motifs. The inscription RAFFAELLO SANZIO arcs along the upper field in the dark border, and the artist's life dates 1483 - 1520 appear in the lower border. |
