| Obverse description | Central circular cartouche containing the coat of arms of Cameroon, depicting a shield charged with a balance scale, surmounted by a star and supported by two crossed fasces, with a ribbon below bearing the national motto. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper portion of the cartouche, with the date 2024 flanking the shield at either side. The denomination 500 FRANCS CFA is inscribed below the arms within the circle. The field surrounding the cartouche is decorated with radiating sunburst lines extending to the irregular shaped border, and the inscription NOTRE-DAME DE PARIS appears in a recessed rectangular panel at the lower portion of the flan. |
