Cameroon's commemorative coinage program has been operated largely through the Monnaie de Paris and various private minting houses under licensing arrangements — the issuing authority on paper is the BEAC (Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale), but the coins are conceived, struck, and distributed almost entirely for the international collector market, bearing no meaningful relationship to Cameroonian monetary circulation.
At 17.50 g of .999 silver, this sits at the lighter end of the modern commemorative silver market, a weight point common to issues produced by the Scottsdale Mint and certain European secondary minting contractors in the mid-2010s.
