Reverse description The reverse similarly evokes a traditional Chinese cash coin design, with a central square hole encircled by an elaborate lobed cartouche filled with fine floral and scrollwork relief. To the left of the center hole, the large Chinese character 福 (fú, good fortune) is prominently displayed. At the lower right, the legend 'Good fortune' curves along the lower periphery. A three-dimensional gold-plated effigy of the Laughing Buddha (Budai), rendered in selective gilding, is affixed to the right side of the coin, depicted standing with a broad smile and holding a sack of wealth.
