Obverse description The coat of arms of Cameroon is depicted centrally against a wavy guilloche background, with the right half of the field finished in black ruthenium plating contrasting against the polished silver left half. The shield bears a scales of justice motif surmounted by a five-pointed star, supported by scrollwork, with a ribbon below inscribed REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON / REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN. The bilingual country name legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper rim in bold relief, while the denomination 500 FRANCS CFA appears in large characters along the lower rim. The national motto is inscribed in both French and English — PAIX / PEACE, TRAVAIL / WORK, PATRIE / FATHERLAND — flanking the shield, with the date 2021 and fineness mark Ag 999 incorporated into the design.

Reverse description The reverse features a full-color photographic rendering of the planet Jupiter at center, showcasing its distinctive atmospheric band structure including the iconic Great Red Spot, framed within a circular aperture evoking the view through a magnifying lens or telescope porthole. Surrounding the central image is a broad annular border finished in black ruthenium, engraved with a detailed star chart depicting constellation lines, named stars — including Alioth, Merak, Alkaid, Alcor, Phecda, Nekkar, Seginus, Edasich, Talitha, and Cor Caroli — and the M51 Whirlpool Galaxy notation. Several of Jupiter's moons are rendered as gilt spheres positioned at intervals around the border, and the outer rim is highlighted with selective gold gilding.
