Reverse description At centre, a gilt horseshoe is set within a transparent crystal-effect circular insert, mirroring the obverse motif. Surrounding the central element, a fully colored decorative horseshoe motif is applied, featuring vivid polychrome enamel or color printing. Three additional horseshoes appear in the upper portion of the field, reinforcing the good-luck theme. The numeral '7' and the inscription 'GOOD LUCK' complete the design, referencing the traditional association of the number seven with fortune.

Additional information

The Bank of Central African States issues coinage on behalf of six member nations — Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon — a currency union whose roots lie in the CFA franc system imposed by France in 1945. Most BEAC collector issues are struck by outside mints under contract, as the member states collectively operate no facility capable of producing fine silver coinage.

The horseshoe theme places this squarely in BEAC's long-running luck and fortune series aimed at the collector and gift market.
