Obverse description Left-facing bust of Cleopatra rendered in the ancient Egyptian artistic style, wearing the traditional nemes headdress with a uraeus (cobra) at the brow and an elaborate broad collar (usekh) necklace at the base. An ankh symbol appears to the right of the effigy in the field. The legend REPUBLIQUE DE GUINEE arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, and the name CLEOPATRE is inscribed in the lower field beneath the portrait.
