| Obverse description | Central field features the coat of arms of Cameroon, depicting a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by crossed fasces and supported by a decorative banner inscribed REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN. The motto words PAIX / PEACE and TRAVAIL / WORK and PATRIE / FATHERLAND appear in bilingual form around the shield. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the left and right periphery, while the denomination 500 FRANCS CFA appears in bold relief along the lower portion of the field. The date 2020 is struck above the arms, and the fineness mark Ag 999 with the Mint of Poland (MW) privy mark appears at the lower left of the shield. |
