| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a colour-printed reproduction of the 1489 devotional panel painting 'Enthroned Madonna Nursing The Child' by Maestro dei Polittici Crivelleschi, occupying the left portion of the square field. The Virgin Mary, draped in a deep blue robe adorned with gold floral motifs, is depicted seated on a throne with a golden background, her hands raised in prayer as the Christ Child nurses at her breast. To the right, against a dark polished field, two finely sculpted silver roses in high relief are rendered on a stem with leaves, adding a sculptural three-dimensional contrast to the colourised painting. |

Cameroon's modern commemorative silver program is administered through the Monnaie de Paris under licensing arrangements common to many Francophone African states that retain French minting relationships post-independence. The coins carry legal tender status in name only — none circulate, and the issuing face value bears no relationship to either metal content or retail price.
The specific 2017 religious series drew on iconographic traditions rooted in Central African Catholic missionary history, where French and Belgian orders had operated since the late nineteenth century. Cameroon itself was a German protectorate before passing to Franco-British administration after 1916.
