The Treskilling Banco Yellow is the most valuable stamp in existence — a 1855 Swedish error piece printed in yellow rather than the intended blue-green, with only one confirmed example known. That single stamp sold for over $2 million at auction in 1996. Cameroon's BEAC-zone commemorative program regularly licenses famous rarities in this manner, producing legal-tender silver issues for the collector market rather than circulation.
No Treskilling Yellow has ever been replicated in coin form before this issue.
