Cameroon has issued commemorative silver under the CFA framework for decades, licensing its monetary authority to private mints — primarily the Coin Invest Trust operation in Liechtenstein — to produce collector pieces with no meaningful connection to the issuing country. Piłsudski, the Polish statesman who commanded the decisive 1920 victory over Soviet forces at the Battle of Warsaw, has no historical relationship to Cameroon whatsoever.
The choice is purely commercial, targeting the Polish collector market.
