| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two gaur (Indian bison, Bos gaurus) resting on rocky ground occupy the central field, depicted in vivid full-colour photographic style with naturalistic brown and black colouring and prominent curved horns. A large banyan tree and a warm orange sunset sky form the coloured background. The design is framed by an arched gold-coloured border overlaid on a sparkling red glitter outer ring. To the upper left, a domed building logo bears the inscription INDIAN LIFE. The fineness and weight legend .999 FINE SILVER 1/2 OZ appears along the lower exergue in silver lettering. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The gaur (*Bos gaurus*) is the heaviest wild bovine on earth, native to South and Southeast Asia — not sub-Saharan Africa. Cameroon's issuance of this coin has nothing to do with conservation policy or regional fauna; it belongs to a well-established genre of Central African Franc-denominated collector pieces that bear exotic wildlife specifically to attract the international numismatic market. The rhodium plating is a finishing choice aimed squarely at that same audience.
