| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Charles III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief against an intricate guilloche-style lattice background of alternating matte and polished dot-matrix panels. The date 2024 is divided by the portrait, appearing to the lower left and lower right respectively. The circular legend reads CHARLES III · 500 FRANCS CFA 2024 MJ · REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON · in raised Latin lettering around the periphery. A small crowned royal cypher or mint mark appears at the lower right of the bust. |
