At centre, a coloured design depicts a yellow post horn superimposed over a yellow world map silhouette, set against a dark circular background. The circular legend 'REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN' appears twice, running along the upper and lower arcs of the inner ring. The denomination '500' and 'FRANCS CFA' appear in the upper left and upper right corners respectively within the stamp-shaped border, with mirrored inverted repetitions in the lower corners. Fine vignettes of a hot air balloon above and a sailing vessel below are visible in the outer field, with the date '2025' and fineness 'Ag 999' inscribed subtly in the inner field. |

The "Baden 9 Kreuzer Error" takes its name from one of the most notorious minting blunders in German state coinage: in 1866, the Baden mint struck 6 Kreuzer pieces with dies intended for the 9 Kreuzer denomination, producing a hybrid that circulated undetected long enough to become a genuine rarity. The BEAC's 2025 issue commemorates that specific mistake as a subject — a coin explicitly honoring another coin's production error.
BEAC collector issues of this type are produced under license through European private mints, most commonly Münze Österreich or the Kremnica facility, though attribution for this KM#842 piece has not been independently confirmed.
