| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central medallion features a vivid polychrome enamel depiction of the Aquarius figure as a stylized water-bearer with flowing streams, set against an astrolabe-inspired engraved background incorporating concentric astronomical rings, degree scales, and lunar phase indicators. The Aquarius glyph, represented by two parallel wavy lines, appears in a raised cartouche at the lower right of the inner ring, while a corresponding cartouche at the lower left bears an elemental symbol. The outer border ring is engraved with the remaining zodiac symbols at regular intervals, and a partially darkened sector evokes a night-sky motif with finely engraved stellar positions. The overall composition blends celestial cartography with decorative art executed in proof finish. |
