| Obverse description | The obverse is executed in fine intaglio engraving, with a seated allegorical female figure representing Fortuna at left and a standing male figure of Mercury at right flanking a central bilingual text block in French and Arabic. At the lower margin, a group of putti surrounds symbolic objects including a globe and a vessel, rendered in intricate guilloche scrollwork. The issuer's name appears at top and the denomination "CINQ CENTS FRANCS" is set in bold letterpress at centre, with designer and engraver credits inscribed in the lower border. |
