The Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale — known by its French acronym BEAC — serves six member states simultaneously, which means the same base note design circulates across Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon, differentiated only by a letter code and country designation. Chad's issues carry the letter "C" and the République du Tchad overprint.
